56-64 Moorgate, London

This project is a redevelopment of the prominent Art Deco Halifax House, and the two adjacent buildings, to provide new office and retail space. The building's original frame was removed and replaced with a steel frame and reinforced concrete slab.

The building had extensive brick and stone restoration work completed on location and off-site.

HansenFacades designed supplied and installed the G30 and G40 Hansen Millennium™ window system to the upper levels. The system was selected on the external frontage for its high-quality performance whist, maintaining the elegance and original aesthetic of façade.

The windows arriving on site were almost entirely pre-fabricated, glazed and fitted with EPDM, which significantly reduced installation time.

The HansenFacades design team worked very closely with PDP to ensure that the final design met client expectations and performance criteria. Knight Harwood recognised the effort and professionalism that the HansenFacades project and site teams employed, and were very satisfied with the level of service and final results.
